Swim, bike, run in the Okanagan.

Anyone who knows us knows we watch a lot of documentaries. Some of our favourites are documentaries on sports - particularly biking and running. We have watched so many different documentaries on the Kona Ironman - it would our bucket list goal to watch the competition in real life. It would be so amazing to swim, bike and run in Hawaii but we won't be travelling until the world is normal again so while our recent trip was not a tropical island, it was a sizzling 37 degrees in Enderby this week and we were able to do all a triathlon of our favourite things over several days with some of our favourite people.

SWIM. Mara Lake in Shuswap Country. The Waterwheel in Enderby. Wood lake in Oyama. All fantastic places to cool off - especially when it was 37 degrees out.
BIKE. The moms woke up early and snuck in a 25 km bike ride before breakfast. The dads did 39 km the next morning. Then we biked another 12 km with the kids (side note - getting 8 kids ages 2-11 all on wheels is no easy feat!) Simon also got in a dirt-bike ride with his brother.

RUN. Couldn't resist waking up early again to run 10 km, the scenery is so beautiful and different than the city runs I usually do. I also got to take my friend's girls running the day after - Nallie probably would have run too but she was too busy sleeping in til 10:00 am.

RELAX. And of course it is a vacation so after all the activity, we made sure we had lots of time to play and relax.

Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Neufeld for hosting us and letting our friends camp on the farm.
If you are tired of having and want to start a different business, you should consider renting out your beautiful front yard so everyone can wake up with this view. We will be sure to give the Neufeld Farm Campsite a rave review on Travel Advisor and a great Yelp score!

  1. I love all the photos. You did a great job of capturing the whole long weekend and your activities. The kids were so fun and well behaved. I hope you all come back next year!
